Betrayal

It's been 3 years since they saw each other for the first time. 3 years of their love story. They met by chance; their heartbeats raced and their stomachs fluttered. She fell head over heels in love with him at the very moment. He was awestruck. The early butterflies blossomed into a mature relationship. She was caring, he was loyal. She was outgoing, he was an introvert. She was bubbly ,he was calm. Perhaps his calm demeanor kept her calm. He used to spend hours gazing at her face as she slept. When awake, they could not keep their hands off each other. He was not just in love with her, but obsessed! Every day after work, they would go on long walks. On these walks, she would tell him about her day, her work, her colleagues, and everything else that came to her mind. At the end of the walk, she would look into his eyes and tell him that he was a good listener. "Indeed I am," he thought. However, things were about to get ugly. He could notice a change in her behav...

At the Airport

Image
It was 2 am in the morning. Terminal 2 of Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Airport was live with the hustle and bustle of people waiting outside the arrival gates. Waiting faces, eager eyes, keen ears and a sense of anxiety was the general picture out there. Amidst the chaos, stood a lean girl with a calm demeanor.  She was perhaps amongst the first ones to arrive at the terminal for the flight which was scheduled to land at 2.30 am. The tiredness was visible in her body language, but her face reflected the eagerness of meeting someone. She was starting to be a bit restless as the time of the arrival drew closer. From frantic glances at her watch to the yearning stare at the arrival gate, the desperation started to grow with every passing minute.  He had received a mail from a university in the US confirming his admission for the Master's course. He was ecstatic as he had always cherished the dream of going to the US for his masters. His entire family was happy too. Even sh...

Him and Her

Image
It was a lazy Sunday afternoon. The sound of rains and the smell of mud in ensemble with a cold breeze was a perfect set up for an afternoon nap. His eyes were getting heavier and he dropped his phone to go off to sleep. Alas! He could not. He had an uncomfortable feeling, feeling of being watched by someone, someone perhaps evil. She hated him!! She saw him lying at the edge of the bed, unaware and unarmed!! This was her perfect opportunity. Her moves were as sharp and silent as that of a predator approaching its prey. Standing behind him, with a spark in her eyes, vengeance on her mind, her lips twitched into a smile and ....She kicked him of the bed!! He was shocked!!! He never saw it coming, literally! Angry, a bit hurt, he tried to gather himself from the shock and stood up to face her. She was smiling, a smile of a demon being extremely proud of the pain caused to a human being. She was relishing in the aftermath of a long awaited act of revenge. Seeing her smile made him outrage...

In Love with the Rains

Image
It was drizzling. An afternoon had never been so cold, fresh and soothing. The canvas above was painted with huge, dark clouds with sun trying to peek in through here and there. The ground below was a scene to marvel. Lush green patches all over the hill top with trees swaying with the wind just as the melodies do with the rhyme.  She was loving it. She just kept staring at the sky and the rain drops kept kissing her face. It was almost a love story developing between the two. The fragrance of flowers and wet mud filled the mountain top. She looked around and the entire hill top belonged to her with no one around. She looked back at the sky and she saw the clouds moving away from above. The sun rays sneaked in and touched her cheeks. She was disappointed. She wanted the rains to stay. She had waited long for this moment and alas it lasted only for a moment. She was young and beautiful but she knew she did not have much time left. Her beauty was admired by one and all and she had a ...

Gone too Soon

Hey All, Welcome to the Blog Page once again.  Tough times!!! The 2nd wave of Covid has led to a complete chaos across the nation. Shortage of Beds, Shortage of Oxygen, Shortage of Medicines and perhaps Shortage of Empathy towards a Human Life! With so many dear and near ones losing their lives fighting the virus, a short write up on the importance of the word 'Life' itself -  Talk - Take time to talk, meet, greet your friends. Having a heartfelt conversation with your loved ones is always better than having a teary eye one side chat with a photo frame. Laugh it out and sail it through together. The tides do change unexpectedly. Spend time - With your family. Being busy with Life's commitments is just a part of Life and not LIFE in itself. Your family need YOU and not the baggage or the status that you carry. Ensure your loved ones get enough of your slice until it is too late. A family get together over a dinner is much better than a family union at a funeral!! Share ...

Weeping Windows

Image
The window wept as Nia watched through the glass. The low hum of the people surrounding the corridor, outside her room, echoed like a booming missile in the inside. With an empty cup in her hand, she watched. These days that was all she could do and all she had. Watching . Watching as summer turned to winter. Winter to rainy or autumn or spring. She watched with an endless wish to fly out of the windows and touch the endless seasons and the changes. She wanted to reach out. To be a part of the world that was moving on without her. She longed for it. Yearned. To touch the new burst of the buds during Spring. To walk along the crunchy leaves during Autumn. To get a suntan on Summer. But watching… That was all she would do. She could do. All she was forced to do. One day, when she was immensely tired of watching, she stood in front of the windows and considered jumping down from the third floor. But she knew it was a stupid idea, because she was no superman to fly. So she just sat there a...
