Him and Her

Image
It was a lazy Sunday afternoon. The sound of rains and the smell of mud in ensemble with a cold breeze was a perfect set up for an afternoon nap. His eyes were getting heavier and he dropped his phone to go off to sleep. Alas! He could not. He had an uncomfortable feeling, feeling of being watched by someone, someone perhaps evil. She hated him!! She saw him lying at the edge of the bed, unaware and unarmed!! This was her perfect opportunity. Her moves were as sharp and silent as that of a predator approaching its prey. Standing behind him, with a spark in her eyes, vengeance on her mind, her lips twitched into a smile and ....She kicked him of the bed!! He was shocked!!! He never saw it coming, literally! Angry, a bit hurt, he tried to gather himself from the shock and stood up to face her. She was smiling, a smile of a demon being extremely proud of the pain caused to a human being. She was relishing in the aftermath of a long awaited act of revenge. Seeing her smile made him outrage...

In Love with the Rains

Image
It was drizzling. An afternoon had never been so cold, fresh and soothing. The canvas above was painted with huge, dark clouds with sun trying to peek in through here and there. The ground below was a scene to marvel. Lush green patches all over the hill top with trees swaying with the wind just as the melodies do with the rhyme.  She was loving it. She just kept staring at the sky and the rain drops kept kissing her face. It was almost a love story developing between the two. The fragrance of flowers and wet mud filled the mountain top. She looked around and the entire hill top belonged to her with no one around. She looked back at the sky and she saw the clouds moving away from above. The sun rays sneaked in and touched her cheeks. She was disappointed. She wanted the rains to stay. She had waited long for this moment and alas it lasted only for a moment. She was young and beautiful but she knew she did not have much time left. Her beauty was admired by one and all and she had a ...

Gone too Soon

Hey All, Welcome to the Blog Page once again.  Tough times!!! The 2nd wave of Covid has led to a complete chaos across the nation. Shortage of Beds, Shortage of Oxygen, Shortage of Medicines and perhaps Shortage of Empathy towards a Human Life! With so many dear and near ones losing their lives fighting the virus, a short write up on the importance of the word 'Life' itself -  Talk - Take time to talk, meet, greet your friends. Having a heartfelt conversation with your loved ones is always better than having a teary eye one side chat with a photo frame. Laugh it out and sail it through together. The tides do change unexpectedly. Spend time - With your family. Being busy with Life's commitments is just a part of Life and not LIFE in itself. Your family need YOU and not the baggage or the status that you carry. Ensure your loved ones get enough of your slice until it is too late. A family get together over a dinner is much better than a family union at a funeral!! Share ...

Weeping Windows

Image
The window wept as Nia watched through the glass. The low hum of the people surrounding the corridor, outside her room, echoed like a booming missile in the inside. With an empty cup in her hand, she watched. These days that was all she could do and all she had. Watching . Watching as summer turned to winter. Winter to rainy or autumn or spring. She watched with an endless wish to fly out of the windows and touch the endless seasons and the changes. She wanted to reach out. To be a part of the world that was moving on without her. She longed for it. Yearned. To touch the new burst of the buds during Spring. To walk along the crunchy leaves during Autumn. To get a suntan on Summer. But watching… That was all she would do. She could do. All she was forced to do. One day, when she was immensely tired of watching, she stood in front of the windows and considered jumping down from the third floor. But she knew it was a stupid idea, because she was no superman to fly. So she just sat there a...

The Deaf Dance!!

Neha walked into the cafe, noticing a bell ring above her as she pushed the glass doors, heads briefly turning towards her. She was tall, with broad shoulders and an elegant waist. Her ballet paying off with slim, long legs. She had a long, sharp nose, and her eyebrows were on fleek. Her soft lips and her deep eyes added a spark, not to be missed.  She ordered her usual frappuccino and looked around for a seat, a window seat to be specific. All the window seats were occupied except for one in the corner. There was a boy sitting there alone. He had long black hair, falling slightly over his chocolate brown orbs. His long slender fingers gripping onto a blunt charcoal pencil, which was moving swiftly against a paper. His eyebrows furrowed together in concentration. There was plenty of space, he was the only one sitting on that table. A grin spread on her lips. He wouldn’t mind if she sat there, hopefully, she thought. Neha walked up to the table and gently sat in the opposite seat. “...

A Lust Story

Image
It was 5 o'clock when the plane landed at the airport. He was a couple of hours early since the seminar scheduled for the afternoon had been canceled. He longed for a good bath and therefore, took a taxi and proceeded straight away to the hotel. A few moments later he was refreshed and came down to the lobby to wait for his friend with whom he was going to spend the weekend. They had grown up together until he had left for studies a couple of years ago. He decided to order something from the bar. A few couples were dancing on the floor. As he looked for an empty table he noticed an attractive woman sitting alone, as if waiting for someone. She looked divine in her grey dress and he could not help staring at her. Moving closer to her table, he asked her whether the seat next to her was vacant. She smiled uncomfortably and removed her bag from the vacant seat. "Can I buy you a cup of coffee? " he said as he lowered himself to the seat facing her.  She shook her head polite...

6 Minutes

The elevator nudged floor by floor. His heart pounded. He looked down to check what his fingers were doing to ease the tension. The phone was the victim, as it kept turning like one of those fidget spinners sold at traffic junctions. He took control and tapped the mobile screen. There were no notifications. The wallpaper seemed to scream for attention; the picture was of a semi-closed window, the curtains of which were silhouetted by the morning rays of light. It was an ordinary photo, slightly out of focus. But it was her view from the bed, which she clicked and sent to him, years back. It was the first ever photo she had sent him, and his sole wallpaper since that day. The image held a warmth of that room – her room – and it had often comforted him. But not now, as the elevator creaked at Floor ‘4’. He bit his lip. Although he had set it up, the situation now seemed a tad too much to handle. It felt like the day he had confessed love to her. That hadn’t gone well either… Stepping...
