Memoirs !!!!

Finally its here! Time to bid Goodbye   to the Year 2011…..The year has been   full of fun, frolic, amusement, disasters, hope, thoughts, new beginnings, tearful endings and a bagful of mixed emotions…… Let us take a brief stroll to the year that has gone by – The year started with loads of promises and hopes which every New Year brings with. The US of   A continued its invasion of Afghanistan, Iraq, Pakistan, Kuwait, Syria…….Funding oops Finding the hidden terrorists from the caves and homes and governments and OIL WELLS and what not ! Back home came another Budget, another disappointment, innumerable rise in the CRRs and SLRs, surging Petrol Prices, sky rocketing Inflation and Empty Middle Class Pockets…. The Equity and Commodity markets decided to be on an ever depressing see-saw by being RED throughout…confusing, de-motivating and threatening Jobs   every single Human soul. “HOW WELL HAVE YOU LIVED YOUR LIFE CAN BE JUDGED BY THE NUMBER OF PEOPLE WHO ATTEND YOUR FUNERAL!!!” says My Dad - - - A statement so blunt…..so True and so very Eye – opening!!! Well this one statement led to loads of thoughts, in depth analyses, retrospection, discussion and finally a List – A List of things I would want Myself to say when I lay down on the Flower Bed…..A List of all those things that I would wish to believe to be True BEFORE I FINALLY HANG UP !!!!! Since the last Blog was on Childhood, I thought that the best way to carry it forward would be by posting something about friendship. Friends – Of all shapes, sizes, moods, attitudes, perceptions, pockets, ambitions and of course the most dangerous of them all – Brains ! Friends need not be necessarily of the same Mould. Hey guys…..an old post but with a lot more relevance today... This post is dedicated to the ever-so – wonderful childhood days which all of us would want to revisit. I am an avid fan of Jagjit Singh’s Ghazals and one of his soul rendering  ghazal is the inspiration for this post – We are all into our mid – twenties struggling to strengthen our footholds into our respective careers.
