Happy Diwali - Ramayana Way!!

Hey Guys,
Welcome to the Blog Page Once Again!!

Diwali is called the Festival of Lights and is celebrated to honor Rama. It is believed that on this day Rama returned to his people after 14 years of exile during which he fought and won a battle against the demons and the demon king, Ravana. People lit their houses to celebrate his victory over evil (light over darkness). The goddess of happiness and good fortune, Lakshmi, also figures into the celebration. It is believed that she roams the Earth on this day and enters the house that is pure, clean, and bright.

Diwali ushers in a period of merriment – a time to revel in the company of loved ones, dress up in finery and gorge on delicious dishes prepared for the event. For wimps like yours truly, it’s an occasion to behold (never light) with childlike wonderment, the colorful fireworks that dazzle the night sky and turn it into a kaleidoscope of myriad hues.

Diwali is also a time for reflection, a time to re-visit and judge impartially, ones thoughts, actions and words and to rid oneself of the darkness and negativity that dwells within.

Lets have a Look at Diwali visa vie Ramayana and the Relationships that need to be Cherished this Diwali;

A proud father of a worthy son. Fathers will always be strict, harsh and non approachable, but they will always ensure that we will have their back, Always.
From sacrificing their own dreams for us to blooming with pride seeing us do that for him, Fathers have been an integral part of what we become.

As Surprised as it may be, what mothers do, whether it is good or bad, is for the betterment of their children, not for themselves, so it is not good to be angry and sour with them.From Love to Anger to Sorrow to Heartbreak to Repent, a Mother does everything under the sun only for her Children, often not caring about the repercussions.

Ram - Son
A Dutiful son whose immense respect for his parents and love for their principles go beyond the worldly luxuries and selfish needs. From being an obedient child to an inspirational brother to his siblings, an Ideal son is the reflection of his parent's upbringing and sacrifices.

Candlelights, earthen lamps, homes filled with a sweet smell of delightful sweets, the warmth of families & friends, and the chill of the upcoming winter season, that’s how we’d like to paint a perfect picture of Diwali celebration.

Diwali—the “festival of lights” is the biggest festival in India, commemorating the victory of good over evil, it is also an opportunity for people to move on, let go of past grudges, and make merry.
