Gather 'round, folks! Here we are with our last blog post of the year, and wow, 2024 sure kept us on our toes! It was a whirlwind of exciting events, surprise plot twists, a few disappointments, and plenty of unexpected shenanigans. So, grab your popcorn and join us for a quirky stroll down memory lane as we relive the highs and lows of this rollercoaster of a year!

 Politics - Ab ki baar – 240! India’s general elections in 2024 were as dramatic as an action-packed thriller. The ruling party retained its power, with the opposition rallying for a comeback, but the ultimate winner? Mahayuti made a comeback in Maharashtra, J&K held elections, Kejriwal resigned, Ms. Vadra is now in Parliament, and Rahul Gandhi is back as an MP from Rae Bareli.

 Stock Market Frenzy: To the Moon - 2024 was the year of the bull run! With Sensex and Nifty smashing records left and right, anyone holding stocks was probably feeling like royalty on Dalal Street. The markets soared to new heights, and investors were all smiles as their portfolios grew.

 IPL 2024: KKR’s Victory – The Knight Rises - And then came IPL 2024! Kolkata Knight Riders defied all odds and clinched their 3rd IPL title, marking a dramatic comeback. The season was a rollercoaster of emotions, with KKR fighting tooth and nail, proving that the "Knight" in their name wasn’t just for show! #KorboLorboJeetbo

 T20 World Cup - David Miller – caught Suryakumar, bowled Hardik! India! India! #BleedBlue

 IPL Auction - The IPL 2024 Auctions were a wild ride! Pant and Shreyas bagged the big bucks, while 13-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi became a crorepati overnight. Prithvi Shaw, however, was left unsold! And, as always, Ms. Maran stole the spotlight, with cameras glued to her every move. What a spectacle!

 Cricket - Ashwin called it a day, while Kohli, Jadeja, and Rohit bid adieu to T20Is. Gambhir stepped up as India’s new head coach, and as always, Travis continued to be a constant 'head'ache!

 Entertainment - The first half of the year struggled to deliver big hits, but the second half reignited the box office. Leading the charge were crowd-pullers like Stree 2, Kalki, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, Singham Again, and Pushpa 2, which brought audiences flooding back to theatres. Oh, and Dharma got sold!

 Goodbye - In 2024, we lost several legends who left a lasting impact on their respective fields. Ratan Tata, Sitaram Yechury, Rohit Bal, Anshuman Gaekwad, Natwar Singh, Ramoji Rao, Ameen Sayani, Manohar Joshi, Dr. Manmohan Singh, Pankaj Udhas, and Zakir Hussain were just a few of the icons who departed. The Taj lost its ‘Wah’!

 Neighbours – In 2024, it was a political merry-go-round for India’s neighbors! Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Nepal all had government makeovers – talk about a regional reality show! Meanwhile, Bangladesh’s Prime Minister decided to take a "vacation" in India, just in case things got too wild back home.

 Russia – Ukrain War – continues.

 Israel – Palestine – Hamas –Hezbollah - Houthi – Iran – continues. Syria, meanwhile, was liberated!

 Trump –ed - Trump pulled off a comeback victory in the U.S. election, like a plot twist no one saw coming! It was like America hit "replay," and the "Make America Great Again" saga continued with a whole new season!

 Indian Sports - India’s sporting achievements in 2024 were nothing short of remarkable! At the Paris Olympics, India bagged 1 silver and 5 bronze medals, with the quest for gold continuing. The Paralympic Games saw India’s largest-ever contingent, winning 29 medals—a historic triumph. India’s chess prowess soared as both the men’s and women’s teams clinched gold at the 45th FIDE Chess Olympiad in Budapest. The icing on the cake was D. Gukesh being crowned the youngest World Chess Champion! #Checkmate

 2024 brought its fair share of ups and downs—moments of joy, challenges, and valuable lessons. As we bid goodbye to this eventful year, let’s welcome 2025 with optimism, peace, health, and a smile, hoping for brighter, happier days ahead.
