The Video Games, the 99 in 1 to 999999 in 1 Cassette, the 2 Player games to Unlimited Time, sitting in front of TV and .. well just living the life that only 90's Kids could have lived.
A small Nostalgic thought on THE Games that Enchanted our Childhood;
SUPER MARIO
A tiny Man goes all out to find his Princess amidst weird looking creatures, Octopuses, Ducks, Watery Bodies, Dragons and What not....Just to realize this;
THANK YOU MARIO BUT YOUR PRINCESS IS IN ANOTHER CASTLE!!!
Impact : Strive, Push and Never Say Never, Because You Wanted This!!
TETRIS
The assembly of various shapes dropping from above , the speed of which is ever increasing with a new level. Wipe them off or the game is Over.
Impact : Fix, Build, Adjust all by yourself before it is too late and yeah... All By Yourself!
BOMBER MAN
A White Clothed Tiny Man in search of his House Door destroys Demons by Exploding Bombs and Tearing apart Those Walls.
Impact : Go all out and fight it yourself, Eventually what matters is your Heart... and Heart is where your Home is!!
CONTRA
Powerful Men, Ala Arnold with a Gun in their hands eliminating the enemies in front of them (Which was Easy) and also from behind just to reach Eternity.
Impact : Be Aware, It isn't always that the Problems will be in your Face, they come from all the sides. Tackle, Eliminate and Evolve!!
PAC MAN
The Small Man in pursuit of Gobbling up everything in his path, amidst trying to Evade his Predators and Find a Safe Route.
Impact : Does not Matter how close the call is; if you are willing to put in the Extra Efforts, you will often if not always, FIND A WAY.
ROAD FIGHTER
A Race among Good Cars and a few Red, Yellow and Blue ones who try to cut short your journey amidst always Narrowing Roads. Time's Ticking and the Fuel is Burning, Try and race past those obstacles and Win the Race.
Impact : The Higher you climb the Ladder, the Narrower will your Circumference become.And yes, those red, yellow and blue cars will always be Around. Watch Out!!
BATTLE CITY
An Arcade War where the Tank is poised against another 24 Tanks trying to attack in different war zones ranging from Grass to Water to Metal Walls. Also the Tank has to be careful not to leave the Eagle alone as a strike to the Eagle means Game Over.
Impact : One is always surrounded by Stronger and Smarter Opposition. Have to be Fast, Efficient as well as Careful enough to Save oneself as well as Our (Dreams) Eagle!!
MARIO BROS
A Continuation of the Legendary Super Mario, here we have 2 Mario Bros trying to kill Turtles and Flies by Jumping around the Pipes on often slippery surfaces. The speed and the Camaraderie was the key!
Impact : Trust Thy Partner and Be ready to either play second fiddle or be the leader of the Team in order to accomplish a Common Goal. Everyone thinks of oneself as Mario, but here Luigi is as Important for Mario to be Mario!!
POPEYE
Spinach Eating, Biceps Pumping and Olive Loving Popeye was a Heart throb and a Macho Hunk who went all out trying to beat the hell out of Bluto just to get Hearts sprayed all over by the Love of his Life Olive.
Impact : Well, Lot of Kids Started Eating Spinach after playing this Game!!!!
CIRCUS
A tiny Boy with daunting tasks. From Riding a horse through fire to jumping on balls to evading monkeys to hanging on the ropes. Balancing and Timing while having to jump and juggle were a treat to watch.
Impact : Different Stages, Difficult Challenges. Stay Calm, focused and Aware while Moving on!!
And Many More!!
Ah!! Downloading the Images of these games itself took me back to my childhood, where the entire Summer holidays were spent glued to Nintendo.
Never knew back then, from playing Video Games to now playing Games People Play, Life's Circle is Indeed a Circus!!
But Hey, Once a Mario....Always a Mario! Alas, The Princess will always be in Another Castle!!
