2nd October is a public holiday in India and why not....We celebrate the Birthday of the Nations Father...Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi!!!
The relevance of the Man in my views being penned down
1. The Partition was his decision....and we have soldiers and countrymen still dying out in and at LOC....whoever said ' If there is heaven on earth...it is kashmir..well yeah literally!!!
2. Majority of roads and structures in India are named after him....wonder do the Jams and potholes have some connections out there!!
3. Went to South Africa in early stage of life....South Africa had apartheid  (politically) and later are named Chokers  ( ala Cricket)
4. Nathuram Godse...an RSS man assassinated him....70 years later...we have a RSS man with almost 3/4th Majority ruling the roost!! Wat say Mitron!!
5. The last time Charkha( symbol) was being made famous was by Chandrachur singh via Chapa chapa charkha Chale!!! Well need I ignite any further Machis!!!




6. The nation is still crazy for him...the biggest hobby of the nation being collecting his photos...in (now) pink, yellow and some random colored notes!!!
As they say....Majburi ka naam......
7. The irony is the man who preached us Gandhigiri was at yerwada jail under the heinous crime of aiding terror and communal violence....M bole to Mahatma/Munnabhai/ Mumbaiblasts!!!
8. The Gandhi surname still persists in India....alas the nations more aware and educated now...coz....Pappu still can't dance saala!!!
9. 2nd October also happens to be the birthday of Lal Bahadur shastri (the only non remote control operated Congress PM).... well such is the cult that the nation does not realise the fact!!
10. I have a house at Kasturba Marg and my family business runs at M.G.road (that's a fact) in Mumbai....and hence this thought!!!
A man who was a part of our independence struggle just as were lala lajpat rai, wyomesh chandra bannerjee, madam cama, lal bahadur shastri, pt deendayal upadhyay, veer savarkar and many many many great souls!!
With all due respects to the great Man that he was....India needs a newer version of Mahatma....we have our share of Gandhis !!!
