Beyond 30

Hey Guys. Welcome to the Blogpage Again.

Phew!! Just turned 32 a few weeks back and trust me, the age and the number did finally hit me.
While I am blessed to be born in an era that saw a Millennium change, Sachin and the Desert storm, 50th Independence Anniversary of India, the Internet Boom, Madhuri, Aish and Padukone, MS lifting the Worldcup, Notebandi to Beefban, life and the experiences of ageing need to be noted.





A small note on how it feels to be on the other side of 30!!

1. The last day of my School Life was 16 years Back!!! The pain of the Boards now seem so so so pleasant.

2. The kids call me Uncle. Acknowledged, Accepted and trying to Appreciate.

3. The Hairline is reducing and the leftover is turning White. The lesser the Mirror, the better the look!!

4. Dad is ageing too, whereas Mumma still is the same. #Takenforgranted is for all the Mothers out there irrespective of ones age!!

5. Roti, Kapda aur Makaan!!! EMIs, Savings aur Thakaan!!!



6. Sachin hadn't made his debut and Virat wasn't even born on My 1st Birthday!!! And here I am still Complaining!!

7. Try to help the kids with their studies and within 30 minutes realize...Damn this was tough then....and even now!!!

8. Studies and long phone calls made sleepless nights then.....Acidity does the same now!!Burp

9. To Achieve takes a step back; To sustain is the current Stress!!

10. Socialising was all about Buddies and hukkahs; Alas often end up wearing formals amidst Gujjus on most Sundays now!!




11. Hum Apke Hai Kaun had released almost 25 years back!!

12. Have seen 8 Februarys with 29 days!!

13. India has seen 9 Prime Ministers since my Birth!!

14. From being called Chotu to Kacha Nimbu to bhaiya and now Uncle...oops it Hurts!!!

15. White Hair on the Head was okay; on Beard is Weird!!



16. From homeWORK to WORKload, Guess WORK was always meant to be around!

17. Going to the Open House of your Kids still gives you Goosebumps and Nostalgia, remembering the smell of your own school and the face of your teacher.

18. When you are still in Mumbai and your Friends are settled abroad, dont really feel bad...matlab not exactly....but chalo anyways!!!

19. When Sundays are all about sleep and rest, sundays earlier were the exact opposite of them; No Sleep..No Rest...What we wanted was only Cricket!!

20. When Nestle is taken over by United Breweries; From Horlicks to Kingfisher....from being kicked into to kicked out; well Cheers!!



And so on and so forth; Life  beyond 30 is Amazing. There is this new Zeal, Excitement, Energy and Responsibility...coupled with a new Load, pressure, stress, commitment and well a backache!!
Being 32 is a feeling and probably just a feeling.

Born in an Era where 

FRIENDS WERE PRACTICAL AND PHYSICAL,
GAMES WERE ONLY ON VIDEO AND NOT IN OUR MINDS,
PLAYTIME WAS OUTDOORS AND NOT ON A SMARTPHONE, 
HAD FOOD WATCHING TV; YOUTUBE WASN'T EVEN LAUNCHED, 
GOOGLE WASN'T CREATED...WE HAD OUR OWN GOD, 
STRESS WASN'T HEARD OFF, 
MOTHER PROMISE WAS A COMMITMENT ISSUE, 
ISSUES WERE NEVER CARRIED FORWARD!!

Life beyond 30 is the Life that we have chose for ourselves, albeit with some fun with some frolic..
Time aint gonna wait; let us wait, breath, live and enjoy....Coz life beyond this time is also going to be extra special!!

One Life....Live It....
