70 years of Independence!!! A lot of things have changed, evolved and eventually transformed the course of our Nation.I am sure most of all our history Books started with Mughals and then battle of Plassey to Independence Movement and then we shifted to CIVICS for the last part of the syllabus !!
History books unchanged for past So many years with our country turning 71 are outdated and uninformed...
Penning down few events post the that have made India what she has turned out to be today!!

1. 1948...Nathuram Godse assassinated Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi.. Well what the Queen's Army could not do was done by a RSS Man!!!
2. 1950...India's 1st IIT was inaugurated...IIT Kharagpur....and we'll we hence are forced to bear it's most invaluable alumni today ....Arvind Kejriwal!!!!!
3. 1954...Hyderabad was the 1st official state created based on linguistic basis!! All hail SATYAM..shivam..sundaram!!
3.1956...Untouchability Bill was Passed...Yes...we needed a Bill to abolish Untouchability.
4.1965...Hindi became India's official Language....who would have thought then that not knowing English in 2017 would be considered a Taboo!!
5.1969...14 Banks were by Compulsion Nationalised...Vijay Mallya I guess was created on this very Day!!!
6. 1966..Indira Gandhi became The 1st Female Prime minister of India.. Can't really be Sarcastic on this....Rahul has outdone the Jokes wala Part on this Family!!!
7.1971...Bangladesh wala war was fought....Pakistan lost its land..India decided not to annexe but have a Separate neighbour and hell loads of unwarranted labour (years later)
8.1975...Emergency being declared!!! Opposition parties were born here in India!!!
9. 1983..the Most Secular Religion arrives in India at Lord's!!! Kapil Dev and the World cup...Rest as they say is IPL!!!
10. 1983....Maruti rolled out its 1st Car.....from 800 to Ciaz....KITNA DETI HAI has been her tag line and the Nation's intentions!!!
11. 1984 was when the Bhopal Gas Tragedy Hit the nation. The culprits are yet to be convicted and the sufferers continue to suffer!!

15.1992..Babri Masjid was Demolished and the birth of Radical India with left, right, radical, extremists, unwanted Indians took Place...!!! 7th Largest nation in the world in terms of Landmass sheds thousands of Lives for a few square metres!!!All hail the Rath Yatras!!
16.1993 Mumbai Serial Blasts and the Financial Capital of India was for once torn apart by Religious Undertoned Riots...Arvind Swami and Manisha Koirala did well to Potray the same with the A.R Rahman score in the Background ala Humma Humma!
17. 1997 ... India's 50th Independence Day!!! I.K Gujral's only deed as PM of the nation!!
18. 1999 was when the historic Amritsar to Lahore Bus trip was Made by Atalji, just to fight the Kargil War months Later!!
19. 2000 and India's population soared to 1 billion...wish the dinosaurs had also been so proactive!!!
20. 2002 when the Godhra incident occurred in Gujarat...then CM...today's PM (Hush Hush Mitron)
21. 2008 when Mumbai Hosted it's most hated and coveted guest of recent times...Ajmal Kasab n group just could not say Wah Taj!!!
22. 2008 and Lalit Modi(fied) the world cricket with IPL!!!! Need One say more!!
